Pilgrimages to Tibet: A Completed Chapter, A Continuing Invitation
Lord Buddha Shakyamuni, Padmasambhava, and masters of many traditions have taught that pilgrimage is a profound means of purification, blessing, and spiritual illumination.
For Western practitioners especially, because we do not live within a Buddhist culture, there is a risk of understanding the Dharma only intellectually, without encountering it as a complete way of living. Pilgrimage offers another kind of understanding—one shaped by sacred place, lineage, devotion, hardship, beauty, and direct experience.
After many years of leading pilgrimages throughout Tibet, Sangha Journeys, a satellite of Jnanasukha Foundation founded by Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo, has concluded its activities.
We are deeply grateful to our providers in Tibet, whose knowledge, care, and dedication made these journeys possible and memorable.
